Women writers make for rewarding (and efficient) lovers. They are clever liars to fathers and husbands; yet they never hold their tongues too long, nor keep ardent typing fingers still.

About This Quote

If a man claims to love a woman who writes, he is a liar. If a woman claims to love a man who writes, she is a liar. We all know that a woman can be very convincing with her words. When she says she loves him, she might be lying or at least exaggerating, but it sure seems like she means it.

However, the same cannot be said of men. In general, men would never lie to their wives or girlfriends about loving them. We all know this instinctively, even if our perceptions are warped by the media.

Women are known for being good liars when they are in love with someone who writes or has written for them. They are also known to be good liars when they are in love with someone who has written about them. The reason for this is that women are not very good at lying completely straight-faced about their feelings.

When they feel something strongly, they tend to show it in subtle ways that make it easier to recognize for yourself whether they are telling the truth or not.
