Lynn Weingarten is a novelist and novelist-in-progress whose work has been published in more than a dozen countries. Her latest novel, "In the Shadow of the Shore," is a short story collection based on the lives of a group of women living on the Jersey Shore in the 1950s. "The Last Beatitude," Weingarten's first novel, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and won the PEN/Hemingway Award for debut fiction. A graduate of Yale, she was an editor at Doubleday and Macmillan before becoming a full-time writer
She lives with her husband and daughter in Brooklyn.
