Alex Beecroft is a British writer, journalist and explorer. He has worked as a journalist for BBC Newsnight and BBC World News, as a reporter for the BBC's News magazine, and as a regular contributor to the magazine Radio Times. He is the author of five books, including The Lost Pyramids of Egypt: The Egypt Files, a true-life adventure story about his trip to Egypt with renowned archaeologist Mark Lehner. In 2006 he was featured on BBC One's documentary series The Quest: Search for the Lost Pyramids of Egypt.
