Virginia Aird is the author of the international bestsellers, Daring to Dream (2004) and The Golden Years (2010) and five other books. She is the bestselling author of the autobiography, The Golden Years, which was short-listed for the 2010 Prime Minister's Literary Award. She was named as one of Canada's most powerful and influential women in 2009 by Maclean's Magazine and as one of Canada's top 14 most powerful and influential women by Chatelaine Magazine. Virginia is a passionate advocate for children and has been an active supporter of various charities including Covenant House, Dare to Care, Share Freedom International, Child Freedom International, Canadian Mental Health Association - Toronto Chapter, Sick Kids Foundation and Secours Catholique de Quebec. She is a member of Toastmasters International and is a certified life coach.
