Benmont Tench is a songwriter, musician and recording artist. He was the lead vocalist for Tom Petty's Heartbreakers from 1981 to 1988, and with the band in the late-1980s and early-1990s. He has been a member of the Traveling Wilburys since 1989, and has been a member of the Dixie Chicks since 1995. In 2004, he released his debut solo album, "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad." In 2010, he released his second solo album, "Secret Smile." Born and raised in Nashville, Tenn., Tench is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Austin Peay State University
He currently resides in Los Angeles.
