The antiwar movement is a political movement against the Iraq War. It was started in 2003 with the March for Peace, which was an international peace march that was held in hundreds of cities, towns, and villages around the world. The protests culminated with the March for Life, a protest march by women in Washington, D.C., on Earth Day, 2004. Throughout the war there were many protests and marches against the war, as well as many other events such as vigils and peaceful demonstrations
Millions of people participated in these events and it inspired other protests that continue today.
