Even to me the issue of "stay small, sweet, quiet, and modest" sounds like an outdated problem, but the truth is that women still run into those demands whenever we find and use our voices.

About This Quote

If every woman in the world had her voice heard, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately, many women are still told what they can and cannot say. Although some men are constantly chipping away at women’s voices, it isn’t all of us. There are some women who can speak up for themselves and are not afraid to stand up for their beliefs.

Those are the strong women that I respect. Being small doesn’t mean that you can’t have opinions or dreams. It just means that you need to be quiet when you don’t have something of value to say.

No matter how much someone tries to silence you, your voice will always manage to find its way out.
