Zakariya Amataya is an Islamic scholar, speaker, author, and teacher. He has taught the principles of Islam to the Muslim youth throughout the world since 1986. Zakariya is also the founder of the popular website www.trueislam.com, where one can find articles explaining the teachings of Islam in a language that the youth can understand. He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and he worked at various jobs before starting his Islamic studies in 1989
He graduated with honors from Al Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt in 1996. He also authored "The Quran Made Simple" which was published by Ansar Foundation USA in 1996. Other books are "Islamic Knowledge for Dummies" and "Islamic Study Bible."
