In 2000, they won another Grammy when their song "Gunslinger" won in the Best R&B Song category. Trombone Shorty has performed on many albums with rock groups such as The Black Crowes, Gov't Mule and Galactic with Latin superstars such as Tito Puente, Cal Tjader and Tito Nieves. He has also recorded with jazz artists such as Wynton Marsalis and Branford Marsalis and has played with hip-hop artists such as Erykah Badu, Common and Kanye West.
