Terrence Howard is an American actor, director, producer, and writer. He rose to prominence for his role as the lead character of the HBO television series "Hustle & Flow". Howard has also had recurring roles on several television series, including "Cougar Town", "The Bernie Mac Show", "Girlfriends" and "The Office". Howard has appeared in several films, including "Crash" (as Officer James Burgess), "The Best Man" (as Gregory Smith), "Hustle & Flow" (as Young Buck), "Ali" (as Cassius Clay), "" (as Bunkie Williams), "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" (as James 'Jimmy' Smith) and "Roll Bounce" (as Jimmy 'Buck' Withers). Howard received critical acclaim for his portrayal of the title character in the biographical film "Hustle & Flow". Howard is currently starring as Lucious Lyon on the Fox TV series Empire.
