Steven George Gerrard, OBE (born 26 May 1980) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy. He has spent his whole career so far with Liverpool, making his Premier League debut in 1998 and captaining the club to victory in the 2005 FA Cup Final. He also played on loan at Leeds United and Preston North End before making his full debut for the Republic of Ireland in 2005. Gerrard has made over 450 appearances for Liverpool, winning six major honours, the most notable of which was winning the UEFA Champions League in 2005.
