Sam Hawksmoor was born in the Norfolk, Virginia on July 11, 1978. He grew up in a small town called Chesapeake on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. In 1994, he founded the Norfolk Slims on the Eastern Shore and served as the team's captain. He is a self-taught artist and has worked with major artists such as: Jerry Garcia, Oscar Dawson, and Big Boi of Outkast
He is also a member of Team Slims and has participated in two USA National Championships and one World Championship.
