Romain Grosjean (born July 3, 1988) is a French racing driver who is currently driving for Haas F1 Team. He is also a test driver for the Sahara Force India Formula One team. Grosjean began his career in karting and raced in Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup in 2006. In 2008, he became the first rookie to win the title since Alex Yoong in 2002. He went on to compete in 24 races of the 2008 GP2 Series season for Arden International, winning two races and scoring ten podiums. He also finished third in the 2008-09 Formula Renault 3.5 Series season, winning three races and taking six podiums for Lotus Racing.
Grosjean made his Formula One debut at the Italian Grand Prix with Minardi on June 30, 2009, replacing Tiago Monteiro at Monza.
He scored his first points at the British Grand Prix with sixth position. At the Monaco Grand Prix, Grosjean finished fourth, followed by a second-place finish at Silverstone and fifth at Nürburgring. On June 14th 2010, Romain Grosjean replaced Timo Glock at HRT F1 team for one race after Glock's collision with Mark Webber at the European Grand Prix but was replaced by Pedro de la Rosa after his crash in practice later that day at Belgium circuit.
On 26 September 2010 HRT F1 announced that Romain Grosjean was signed up to race for them again after Timo Glock failed to qualify for 2011 season finale at Abu Dhabi due to fitness issues following shoulder surgery following problems during last weekends’ German GP qualifying session.
