He debuted as a manga artist in 1982 with the publication of "Killer" and went on to achieve international acclaim, creating such classics as "Death Note", "Hellsing", and "Psychic Academy". His work was adapted into two live action films and several television series, as well as an anime series. Although he lives in Japan, Rampo is an active member of the international community and writes for numerous English-language publications.
