He studied at the famous International School in Lagos—later to be known as Obafemi Awolowo University. The school had a basketball team and he played for them. It was during this time that he first encountered basketball and it would become his passion and obsessions throughout his days as a prince and king. Prince Ojo began his career as a musician and formed a band called Super Pride.

They became popular in Ibadan and he formed another band called Kontiki. After several years of performing, he released an album with the title "It's Too Late" which sold over 20,000 copies within two weeks of its release. His love for music grew stronger and after releasing "It's Too Late", he then produced three more albums: "Welcome" (1974), "Gift" (1975) and "Princess" (1978).

These albums made him a household name throughout Ibadan and beyond. In 1976, Prince Ojigba migrated to the United States with his friends, Efeogba Olusegun Adeola Balogun Oyekunle Adekuoroye Adeyemi as well as some other musicians from Nigeria known as DJINNSON PARKS IKEDELE & JUDE JOHNSON II IIJUAN & DR. YUNUS OGUNBIKE FURY ALLEN. In 1978, Prince Ojo founded a record company called ORO-PAI PRODUCTIONS INCORPORATED LTD., which released three more albums: "KINGS OF THE WORLD", "NO ONE CAN DEFEAT ME", "SUPER PRIDE" & "PRINCESS".
