Paul Tudor Jones was born in Newport, Rhode Island, in 1946. He attended Harvard University where he was captain of the track team and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. In 1969 Jones became a partner in the hedge fund Tudor Investment Corporation, which he led as President from 1970 to 1987, when it was listed as one of the ten largest hedge funds by Institutional Investor. He has been featured on 60 Minutes, Frontline, The Colbert Report and 60 Minutes II. Jones is the founder and Chairman of the Paul Tudor Jones II Foundation which supports educational programs benefiting disadvantaged youth. He also serves on public bodies including the Advisory Council of Project Vote Smart, Board of Governors for the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council, and is a member of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven Board of Directors.
