Maurice Switzer is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a master's in English and a doctorate in general education from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School. As an educator, he has served as the associate dean for academic affairs for Biola University, professor of English at Azusa Pacific University, and professor of Christian Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary. His work has been published in such journals as THE CHRISTIAN SCIENTIST and THE NEW YORKER
He is also the author of many books including: The Five Levels of Relationships; The One Minute Manager: How to Motivate People in Only One Minute; and When to Stop Talking and Start Listening: A Guide to Interrogative Discussions.
