Kathrin Schmidt is a writer, editor, and translator. Schmidt is the author of the novels "Sweet Lullaby" (2010), "To Be Alive" (2010), and the short story collection "A Small Affair" (2011). She was translated into German by Julia Schuster, with whom she co-translated "The Child Who Never Grew Up" by Tom Perrotta. Her book "A Small Affair" was short-listed for the German Book Prize 2011. She received an Arts & Letters Award in Germany in 2011.
