Dr. Beckner has been the director of the Career Development Center at the University of South Florida since 1988. He is an Adjunct Professor for the Master of Science in Counseling program at USF, teaching courses in career counseling and career development.

His research interests include career counseling, career development, issues facing college students and graduates, and leadership development within organizations. Dr. Beckner serves as an adjunct faculty member for Stetson University College of Law.
