Justin Bartha is an American actor, best known for his work on the FOX television series New Girl. Bartha was born in San Diego, California, the son of Marjorie (née Goldberg), a nurse, and Howard Bartha, who worked for NASA. He is of Jewish descent on his father's side. His family moved to Houston, Texas during Bartha's childhood, where he graduated from Lamar High School in Houston
He attended Sam Houston State University before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin. Bartha began acting in 1996 on an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He then went on to appear in several television series, including Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show and HBO's Entourage. He also appeared in the feature film The First Wives Club (1996).
From 2006 to 2008 he starred as Nate "Frenchie" Cropper on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock, for which he received two Emmy Award nominations. He also starred as Mark on the TBS comedy Lambchop (2011), which aired for two seasons. Bartha has also appeared in several national advertising campaigns and has made numerous public appearances as a speaker at corporate events and charity fundraisers. He currently hosts the web show Man Up with Justin Bartha on YouTube. It features him talking about topics ranging from current events to dating advice to first-person stories of his life experiences. On June 15th 2011, Bartha married actress Zoe Kazan in a Jewish ceremony in Los Angeles and they announced their pregnancy in May 2012 .
The couple had their first child Archie Jack Jack Bartha who was born in August 2014 .
