Joseph Henry Jackson (1849-1922) was an American physician and psychoanalyst. He is best known as the founder of the medical school at Johns Hopkins Hospital and for his work in treating patients with schizophrenia. Born in New York City, Jackson attended Yale College and then the University of Pennsylvania medical school. He joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins University in 1873 and remained there until his death
