Jef Raskin is a computer and technology visionary and Chief Creative Officer of the Macintosh, Inc., where he continues to lead the company’s long-term strategy. Raskin joined Apple in 1979 as the company’s first intern. He was Vice President of Applications Software from 1982 to 1983, and then became Vice President of Human Interface Design for Apple until 1989. In 1993, he left Apple to become the founding president of The Learning Company, where he was responsible for all aspects of product development. He is author of numerous books and articles on technology, including "The Humane Interface: New Directions for Digital Devices", and is a frequent guest lecturer at leading universities and technology conferences around the world.
