Hany Ghoraba was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1965. He has published more than 50 books, including novels, novellas, plays, and collections of poetry. His literary works have been translated into Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Spanish-Castilian and Turkish. His novel "Days of Glory" won first prize at the Cairo International Book Fair in 2000.
