Born in Puerto Rico, Gabriel graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus, with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Literature. Gabriel went on to further his education at the University of Miami, Florida, earning a Master's Degree in Spanish Language and Literary Criticism. He also has a Master's Degree in Education from the University of South Florida. After teaching for several years he decided to pursue his passion for writing
He is an avid reader of many types of books and has won multiple awards for his short stories.
