Eugenia Argerami has written more than fifty books for children and young adults. She is the author of the Sophie-Sophie series of stories, which have sold over twenty million copies worldwide. A new book in the series, Sophie's World, was published in 2015. She also writes the popular "Fairy Tales for Tots" series (originally published by Random House), which has sold more than twenty-five million copies worldwide
Her book, The Princess on the Pea, was chosen by President Bill Clinton as his favorite children's book of all time. Argerami lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
