Elizabeth Browning is a writer and poet whose work has appeared in The Best American Poetry, The Pushcart Prize Anthology, and other publications. She is the author of nine books of poetry and three novels, and has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. She has taught at Sarah Lawrence College and at Yale University and was director of the poetry program at the New York City Public Library.
