Eleni Papanou was born in a small Greek village called Lakkadikos. It's located on the island of Lefkada, Greece. She is a two-time winner of the Novelist of the Year Award by the 'Society of Authors' in Athens and has been nominated for various awards including 'Best Woman Author' by the 'Literary Review' and 'Best Contemporary Writer' by the 'Thessaloniki Press Club'. She also won first place in the prestigious international essay competition 'The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Writing Competition' held every four years among candidates from all over the world
She is currently living with her husband and three children in Athens, Greece where she works as an editor for various magazines and newspapers.
