Edgar Maass is a German photographer and filmmaker. He was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 1968 he began his artistic career as a photographer and film maker by producing documentation of the student rebellion of May 1968 in Paris. Since then he has produced hundreds of films and photographs which reflect on social, political, cultural and economic issues in various parts of the world
Most recently, Mr. Maass was invited by the Dalai Lama to make a film in Tibet in 2007. He was also commissioned by the UN to make a documentary about the global refugee crisis.
