Duncan William Gibbons was a British poet and writer, who was born in London in 1863 and died in Brighton in 1939. He is best known for his publications of the novels The Brides Wreath (1896), The Rose and the Ring (1906), and The White Lady's Tea Cake (1910). His poetry includes many long narrative poems such as "The Forsaken Garden," "A Vision of Love," and "The Last Spring." He also wrote several volumes of poetry for children.
