Dorit Brauer is an Israeli novelist and screenwriter. She has published two novels, A Thousand Times Good Night and The Hostage Heart, as well as a collection of short stories, The Seventh Man. Her first novel won the Israel Prize for being "a significant contribution to Hebrew literature." Her second novel won the Sapir Prize for a first novel. In 2008 her new novel was published, a thriller based on intelligence information about a suicide bomber.
