Deborah Hopkinson is a best-selling author of young adult and middle-grade fiction. She is the author of the "New York Times" bestselling "The Night Book series," as well as four other middle grade novels (Away, The Night Book, The Night Book: Search, and The Night Book: Answers) and two children's novels (The Magician's Code and The Magician's Apprentice). She has also written eight books for adults (two of which were award winners) and a historical novel for younger readers under the pseudonym "D.L. Smith."
