Daniel Marks has practiced law since 1979, is an academic with an expertise in commercial litigation, and has also taught at the University of Illinois College of Law (1986-1998), the University of Illinois' law school (1993-96), and the John Marshall Law School (1988-89). He joined the faculty of the UIC College of Law in 2004 after previously teaching courses in legal writing. He is also a founding member of the International Academy for Creativity.
