Christina Romer is a professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley and a former chair of the Council of Economic Advisors. She teaches macroeconomics and economic development, and conducts research on job markets, labor markets, and economic development. Professor Romer's research focuses on the macroeconomic effects of skill mismatches, including those between workers and job openings as well as those between workers and firms.
