Charles V was a German composer of the Renaissance. He was born in 1570 and died in 1643. In 1612 Charles V married Anna Magdalena, a daughter of the Duke of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, and they had three children: William, who would become Duke of Braunschweig-Luneburg; Franz, who would become Duke of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel; and Anna Maria Luisa, who would become a nun at the Abbey of Frauenholz.
