Brian Sandoval was born on July 10, 1962, in Elko, Nevada. He is the 45th Governor of Nevada, serving since 2011. A decorated Marine Corps combat veteran and former federal prosecutor, Sandoval has worked to protect both public health and public safety by leading efforts against human trafficking and sex offenders. He has also worked to protect consumers by making sure utility companies are open and honest with customers, and fought to save the Clark County Library from closing. In 2016, he was elected as a member of the Republican National Committee as a replacement for the late Michael Steele.
