Belinda Bauer was born in Tasmania and is the author of seven books. Her non-fiction titles include the bestselling memoirs 'The Ugly Truth' (ABC Books), 'A Daughter's Geography' (Pluto Press), 'The Facts of Life' (ABC Books) and 'The Wild Places' (ABC Books). Her fiction includes 'The Wild Place' (ABC Books), 'Hold Me Close' (Pluto Press) and 'A Long Way Home' (ABC Books). Belinda has also written an anthology, "True Stories" (ABC Books)
Belinda's writing has been short-listed for the Miles Franklin Literary Award. She lives in Hobart, Tasmania with her husband, two children, two dogs and a cat. Belinda runs a creative writing course at the University of Tasmania.
