Akash Khialani was born, raised and educated in the United States. As a child he was mesmerized by the vivid illustrations of his favorite science fiction novels. He started drawing when he was in elementary school. At the age of 15, he began to study art at the University of South Carolina where he became very active in the art community
After graduating, Akash moved to Los Angeles where he worked for several years in animation and special effects. Currently Akash is working for Dreamworks Animation as an illustrator.
