Dollhouses are an art form in themselves, but they also bring back memories of childhood. The Victorian-era dolls of the 1850s were based on the innovations of French artist Pierre Joseph Barbier. He created a doll he named “The First Manufacturing Company” that was dressed in clothing of the time. He was inspired to create these custom dolls after seeing how little girls would dress up their own dolls to represent them
These dolls became so popular that they are still being made today.
