It seems to me there's this tyranny that's not accidental or incidental, to make women feel compelled to look like somebody they're not. I think the effort is being made to get us to turn our time and attention to this instead of important political issues.

About This Quote

With the constant pressure to look a certain way and take certain steps to achieve a certain goal, women are exhausted. In this day and age, women are bombarded with images of perfect figures and ways to achieve that figure. Women are given a limitless amount of options, all of which require an endless amount of time and money. The idea that the only reason that women take up this exercise is to feel better about themselves is insulting. I can't take it anymore! I'm tired of being told to look a certain way so that I can be worthy of being loved.
