Fidel CastroI’m not attached to anything. I’m attached to what it feels it's my duty, to do my duty. I think that I will die with the boots on.
About This Quote
The first time I can recall hearing this quote, I was only nine years old. My family and I were on a trip to visit my grandparents. As we sat down to eat, my grandmother made the comment. The fact that she said it as she picked up her fork and knife and started to eat shows that she had some serious meaning behind those three words.
As we continued with our meal, I thought about what she said and what it meant for her. It came to me that we should not be attached to anything or anyone. We should instead be attached to our duty and live our lives as such.
