This is a classic Chinese expression which means "Who knows how to make love stay?" The expression is based on a funny story about a young man who went to bed with a beautiful girl from the upper class only to find out that his parents had arranged for her to marry someone else. In order to keep her from being married off, he asked for her hand in marriage and was accepted. He then asked his parents for her hand as well, but they said they couldn't give her to him. They explained that he had been given a choice between going away and being married or staying home and being married.

The young man chose the latter. After a while, he received a notice from his family that he was going to be married the following day. Again, he went to bed with the girl from the upper class, but this time he told her that he was going to be married the next day.

She agreed to marry him. As soon as they were both asleep, he woke up and ran out of the house with his clothes on his body and she behind him, still in her underwear.
