Love conquers all. Let Love then smile at our defeat. When we fall in love, we come to a point where we can’t see the other person as anything other than perfect. We don’t want to put that into question or even consider that there could be a flaw anywhere.
It’s only when the relationship is over that we realize that what we fell in love with wasn’t really who they were after all. We may never know what the other person was like when they weren’t with us, but it doesn’t matter now because we were with them and it doesn’t feel right to us to find out what they were like without us. It would be too painful to find out that our beloved was actually something else (or someone else) deep down inside them, and not who we thought they were.
