About This Quote

When I first began studying Jiu Jitsu, I was amazed at all of the different techniques that were being taught. I was familiar with Judo and some Karate, but nothing quite had the same depth of techniques. Of course, nothing is ever really new to me. Soon enough I realized that most of these techniques were used in all martial arts schools.

It was obvious to me that the purpose of this education was to teach me how to learn. This is not something I can say about my education in high school or college. The difference between my Jiu Jitsu education and my other education is that with Jiu Jitsu, I learned what it means to learn.
