The cognitive dissonance here is too extreme. The test itself is bullshit, but the fact that the government officials did not do to children what they themselves did to children makes them hypocrites. They are hypocrites because they are also doing bullshit to children. Why are they only “accountable” for their own stupidity? Why are they not accountable for the stupidity of their colleagues?
