About This Quote

In Sufism, "according to the Sufi, "is an adventure in living, necessary adventure." A person who has been saved from the pit of annihilation can say that he has been saved from a great danger. Awakening to a sense of infinite possibilities is a great adventure. The idea is that a person, no matter how small he may be, can find himself somewhere on the path of eternal perfection. Why is it that we have not fully awakened? It is because we have not looked far enough, looked at ourselves as possible candidates for transformation. We are all sleeping with our eyes open and our mouths shut.
