I was really disappointed when this quote didn't have any meaning. "She likes me" is one of the most common opening lines in a cheesy romance novel. But, when you read it in context it becomes more clear. Samedi was bragging about his uniform to Azi, who had no idea that he was doing so.

He was being cocky and he knew that he was good looking.  He is making fun of Azi because every time they come across each other something sexual is going on.
