Here, Anita is addressing the problem of making every decision and taking responsibility for all of her choices. Jean-Claude is someone who is very powerful and intelligent and yet (apparently) cannot make a choice without consulting Anita. Jean-Claude is also uncomfortable with the idea of Anita making all of the decisions for him. He’s not always wrong because he has a certain amount of knowledge and facts at his disposal, but he is no great thinker.
