You can’t afford to limit your joy. It has been proven several times that angry people are never happy people.

About This Quote

The more we try and limit our happiness and joy, the more unhappy we become. If we want to be happy and enjoy life, it’s best to follow the example of the brave soldier who lived in a time when people had no electricity. His name was Captain William Banting and he was a soldier in the British army during World War I. He lived in a small tent, but that didn’t stop him from working hard to find ways to make things easier for him.

One day he discovered that he could make light by burning candles. There was no electricity in his tent, but he’d read somewhere that you could get electricity from fire and so he tried it out. He made his own candles and found that they worked just as well as store-bought ones.

He also learned how to make a battery from wood and some metal scraps and this led him on to inventing a means of storing electricity for use whenever he wanted it.
