The world as we experience it is, in fact, a dream. This is not to say that it is unreal or illusory or that we are not experiencing something real. It is only to say that the world as experienced by our senses is an appearance or manifestation of something higher. It evolves out of the spiritual substance which underlies all things.

It is therefore not really “the world” which we are experiencing but rather “the dream” of the world. The same substance, consciousness or spirit which manifests itself as “the world” can also manifest itself as “the dreamer” who experiences it. Life itself is a dream because it has no beginning and no end; it just goes on and on without any beginning or end.

We know that it is real because we are living in it and because our awareness of it does not depend upon our sensory organs.
