Reality (i.e., the truth) is that there is a God in heaven. Reality is that He made us and we are accountable to Him. Reality is that this God has spoken and what He says matters--eternally. Reality is that without His salvation, we are doomed to eternal torment. Reality is that God's Son, Jesus Christ, has died for the sins of the world, that He has risen again, and that whoever believes on Him is given eternal life. Jim Berg
About This Quote

What was reality for me? During a period of time in my life, I wondered if reality was this horrific place I was living in. The continuous pain, the constant depression, the anger and resentment, the loneliness and frustration. The nightmares and guilt that I could not shake off. At some point during my life, I questioned if there was any truth to what I thought about reality versus what was really real.

Throughout the course of my life, there have been many times that I have questioned if there is any truth to what I thought about reality versus what was really real. What I discovered is that there are things that are real in this world that are very hard to see, like the pain an anger that can consume you. You don’t realize how much pain or anger you are carrying until it consumes you completely.

Reality is also something that is more than just the physical world around us. Reality is something greater than ourselves; it’s God who is bigger than our own problems. Reality is something more than ourselves; it’s God whose love exists outside of our own feelings of hurt or hurt feelings.

Reality is something greater than ourselves; it’s something that exists beyond our own control because God has control of all things. We cannot hold onto what we want to be true because it will move away from us like the tide does in the ocean when the sun goes down in the evening.
